Chief Executive Officer

Check Woei is a veteran in the finance industry and has helmed strategic positions across various markets. He spearheaded Singapore corporate sales and structuring team in Citibank and was the Global Head of FX and Rates in Standard Chartered Bank. Before entering the green economy, Check was with Fullerton Financial Holdings (Temasek) managing Asia operating investments. Check was a microfinance ALCO Chairman steering ESG-related funding plans with Impact Funds and supranational organization IFC. He was in Deloitte Global Advisory project for a Singapore unicorn. Check is an avid runner and believes in mentoring the younger generation as way to pay forward.

Lee Huan Leng

Chief Operating Officer

Huan Leng brings over a decade of operational expertise, having worked on multiple projects enhancing workflow efficiency. Notably, he served as the leader of the Dispute/Complaint Resolution team within the financial services industry. Huan Leng steers the operational leadership with a focus on fostering cross-functional collaboration, optimizing resource allocation and implementing robust risk management strategies to drive the company towards its strategic objectives. Beyond his work, Huan Leng is an ACE certified personal trainer. He also mentors new softball players, sharing his love for the sport.

Soo Woan Shy

Chief Investment Officer

Woan Shy has more than a decade of experience in the global investment banking and asset management industry. She was with the quantitative research group at Salomon Smith Barney / Citigroup Global Markets, providing institutional investors and fund managers with investment ideas and was consistently placed top three in global institutional surveys. Her current research interests are in sustainability investing and identifying companies that have successfully demonstrated an ability to deliver both financial returns and a positive impact to the communities they operate in.

Michelle Sin

Vice President, Commercials and Investor Relations

Michelle is responsible for investor relations and commercial arrangements at L-Energy Capital.  She possesses a unique blend of expertise and help identify, structure businesses and partnership opportunities. As a sustainability champion, Michelle leads ESG business development in established and emerging markets. Prior to L-Energy, she was with The Royal Bank of Scotland. Michelle has a keen interest on the energy sector, particularly the carbon economy.
